I am a children’s book writer and illustrator living in Yorkshire. I’m the girl who took a dead shrew in a jar to primary school and pretended it was my sleeping pet. I’m the girl who made a graveyard for the victims of the family cat. I’m the girl who ate my ‘thought-bubbles’ so people couldn’t see what I was thinking…
I’m a trained archaeological illustrator (yes, that exists).
I’ve been an actor, a comedian and a writer (sometimes all at once, hey I even won national BBC comedy competition) but I’ve always, always loved children’s book illustration and animation. I’ve lived in my imagination since I was a twinkle in my Daddy’s eye, thought I’d grow out of it and was happily surprised to find I never did.
I’ve appeared on CBBC’s children’s art show ‘Totally Rubbish’ as a guest artist in a cool kids show about recycling in a creative way.
I’m currently writing my first book ‘Witch Witch Wonderwhere’.
